From the Pendleton collection of authentic Scottish Tartans: The Pendleton Hunting Tartan. In 1999, for the company's 90th celebration year, Pendleton Woolen Mills unveiled the Pendleton Hunting Tartan, officially registered with the Council of the Scottish Tartans Society.

The tartan's colors hold special significance for Pendleton, the sixth generation family-run copany with roots in the Pacific Northwest: green represents the area's forests; navy blue, the Pacific Ocean; royal blue, the extensive network of Oregon and Washington rovers; red, the significant partnerships Pendleton has forged with the Native American communities; yellow, the high desert country that is part of the terrain; black, the strong continuity of the company's family ownership.

The Pendleton Hunting Tartan is also known as the Pendleton Signature Tartan, and has been used in apparel and Home products in several revised colorations.
