Sunday Live: Spring 2021 Shirts, Sweaters and Jackets by Barbour

STREAMED LIVE ON MAR 21, 2021

Welcome to Sunday Live and thank you for joining us today.

Today, we’re going to take a look at a few of our Barbour Spring ‘21. We have shirts, a couple of layering pieces and a waterproof jacket that we’re going to look at.

So we’re going to take a look at the shirts first. They’re all 100% cotton. They are all a tailored fit and that is like their standard fit that Barbour has. They have just come out with a classic fit, but for a tailored fit, it’s not that tailored of a feel. Obviously, it is a little bit closer to the body than you may be used to in a few other shirts.

For instance, if you’re one of our Peter Millar customers, it’s just a little bit snugger than their classic fit, but is no where the feel or the fit of their tailored fit. So this is more of their standard fit. It is called “Tailored Fit.” So, when you are on our website, you will see that these do say “Tailored Fit.” I am wearing a medium in it. I have a decent amount of room as, again, in Peter Millar, I would wear a medium in their tailored fit, but I can wear their classic fit. And like I said, this feels a little between a mix of those two if you’re one of those customers of ours who is into those Peter Millar sport shirts.

But, again, they’re all a tailored fit, 100% cotton. This is their Tattersal in Light Blue. It retails for $99. We have medium through xx-large. So, along with that light blue, there is a green, as well. It’s green and light blue – beautiful spring colors. This does have that button-down collar, one chest pocket. Each of these has that Barbour logo right there on that chest pocket there on the side. Great lightweight shirts for spring. It’s starting to warm up a bit here in Iowa, so a great spring, 100% cotton sport shirts if you are in need of some new shirts to spruce up your wardrobe this spring.

Up next, we have their Highland Check in Blue. Again, 100% cotton, the button-down collar, one chest pocket. If you’re looking for a little bit more of a pop of color versus the first one, it’s beautiful shades of blue throughout this Highland Check that they have. It does have one button on the back of the collar there. Again, we have sizes medium through xx-large.

And then up next is the one I have on. It is the Gingham Check in Blue. Again, 100% cotton, $99 retail on this one just like the others. The button-down collar, one chest pocket, it does have the button on the back collar there. Again, some great shades of blue throughout this shirt, as well.

As I mentioned earlier, I am wearing a medium. So just kind of for size comparison, I am in a medium, but again, they are all a tailored fit here. And there are size guides on our site for you to figure out what would be the best size for you. If you don’t know, you can always give us a call, as well and we can help guide you to the right one.

This is the Sealton in Washed Navy. Again, it retails for that $99. This one is a little bit different. It does not have that button-down collar, so it’s a little more of that relaxed look. But this does have the buttoned one chest pocket. So the other ones didn’t have a button right here, but this one does. Again, they call this Washed Navy. I’ll show you the back, it’ll be a little easier. It’s not a stark white by any means in the check. It’s more of that off-white ivory in color. So just kind of a great casual looking shirt here. Again, that was the Sealton. We have medium through xx-large available.

And then we did bring in a Tartan. I feel like each of their seasons they kind of have their signature Tartan that they put into a few of their pieces and this is it for spring – and I’ll kind of show you what I mean, how they put it into other pieces. This is in Stone. It’s 100% cotton. It retails for $119. So we’re back to that button-down collar with that one chest pocket.

Again, it just kind of has their unique Tartan pattern. And if you know Barbour, or you love Barbour, they always come out with some great new Tartans every season. So this is one of their great ones for spring here. Again, the color is stone and we have medium through xx-large.

Then, we’re going to move into a couple of layering pieces that have arrived so far. This is the Brimland in Washed Blue. It is 100% cotton and retails for $130. So it may kind of pull grey and black, but it’s truly, like they said, the Washed Blue. And then this is navy. So the dark stripes here are navy, not black, and then obviously this is a Washed Blue, not grey. But it definitely can kind of go both ways depending on how you’re looking at it. Great color block here with the simple stripes at the bottom. Again, this retails for $130 and we have medium through x-large remaining in this one right now.

And then we have a half-zip here. This is the Tain Half-Zip in Grey Marl. Again, 100% cotton. It retails for that $130 in price. This one has that little subtle Barbour logo embroidered there on the front.

And then, kind of what I was talking about is how they integrate their Tartans throughout some of their pieces. So, as you can see here, that same Tartan shirt right here. That pattern is on the inside of the collar here in the back. So, just kind of fun. We have a lot of who like to buy these pieces together, otherwise this does look great with a simple white, too, if you’re wanting to show off that pattern and have too matchy-matchy of an item that you have on.

Again, this retails for $130. This is the Tain Half-Zip in Grey Marl. We have medium through xx-large available.

Last but not least, we did bring in a jacket. This is 100% waterproof. The color is Navy. It retails for $475. I will slip this on here. It has the snap and zipper enclosure here. It does have the adjustable hood, so you can tighten that around your face for the waterproof aspect of it.

Now, they say this coat is tailored fit. I beg to differ. I have plenty of room and I normally wear a medium in their jackets. And I definitely have lots of room in the arms, all throughout. So, I know it does say tailored and it will say tailored on our site. If you go check out any of their items, it does say “Tailored.” This hits me about mid-thigh. So, I’m about 6-foot. In the medium, I would probably not wear this because it is a little bit baggy on me. We have medium through xx-large available. I don’t have a small here to try that on to see if that would have been a better fit for me. But the medium, I have plenty of room in it all the way through.

But this is 100% waterproof. It does have the two slanted side pockets on the front. And, like I said, it has the adjustable hood for staying nice and dry throughout the spring. But it is a great check in pattern throughout here and the hood is obviously very nice.

So, again, it’s $475. We have medium through xx-large available and it is a tailored fit, but to me it runs a little bit big, so just note that when you’re buying it. Or, if you’re afraid of the tailored fit in the name or when you see that in the description, don’t be concerned about it. You’ll be just fine in this one. There’s plenty of room there for that.

So if you have any questions on anything that we just went through, you can give us a call at 712-262-2085. Otherwise, you can find everything on hansensclothing.com
