Established in 1878, Gloversville, New York. A century earlier the American glove industry began here, based on techniques for tanning deerskins developed by the Mohawk Indians. By 1878 90% of America's gloves were made in Gloversville or neighboring Johnstown in upstate New York.

A small group of European master glovers from France and England formed the nucleus of Hilts-Willard's manufacturing, and their techniques of table cutting for perfect fit and of precision sewing have been passed down through generations and are still used in today's production. Our styles represent more than a century of experience in gloving design and craftsmanship and, we feel, live up to the company motto from 1878: "Like old friends, they wear well".

To find out your glove size, measure (in inches) around your hand with a tape measure at the place indicated by the red line (just below the knuckles). Then close your hand making a fist. You should use your dominant hand, the right if you are right-handed and the left if you are left-handed. Using the chart below, choose the letter size that is closest to the number you get from the tape measure. As an example, if your hand measures 9 3/4 inches, choose a size "L".
