Our roots are in the American South, Virginia and New Orleans, but we first met in England in our twenties. It was there, on London'€™s Jermyn Street, where we worked alongside one of the city's finest shirtmakers. As a guide and a mentor, he taught us nearly everything that we know about shirtmaking. Before we set off to start Ledbury, he passed down some profound advice: '€œBe the best, make the best, and the rest will follow.'€

It all started with the shirt. We spent years obsessing over cuffs, collars, buttons and fabrics. Our goal was to create the world'€™s greatest garment. Luxurious fabrics from Europe'€™s finest mills are combined with subtle innovations, like a lowered second button, to create a shirt that is truly best in class.

We offer the fit of a made-to-measure shirt with the convenience of ready-to-wear. Our shirts are made with the finest European fabrics, finished with Mother-of-Pearl buttons, and constructed in small European factories by tailors whose understanding of quality and craftsmanship has been passed down for generations.
