Today, we’re going to be taking a look at four exclusive, custom tweed jackets that we brought in this fall. We teamed up with Bookster Tailoring.

Bookster Tailoring is an England-based company. They’ve been around for 100-plus years doing custom tailoring. They’re really a made-to-measure shop. So you really go and pick out your fabric, your buttons, your lining, your thread color – you name it. You go through all the works and then you get your jacket.

So, we took it upon ourselves to come up with four jackets and we worked with them and they are great. They’re very knowledgeable. They’ve been doing this forever. They really helped us create four unique jackets and we’re going to go through each of them. We are going to kind of bring that experience to our customers to allow them to do custom jackets, so be on the lookout for that in about a month or so. We’re working on creating that builder right now and figuring out what fabrics we would have available for you to actually create your own custom jacket.

But we’re going to talk about the four that we have created and have in stock here at Hansen’s. The first one we’re going to look at is the Kinross Tweed Sport Jacket. It has the two-button front, self cloth elbow patches. It has the full wine lining.

I’ll kind of go through each of the unique little factors. This is the self elbow patches. We do have four working buttons on this one. A lot of sport jackets that you might get don’t actually have that working button, but these do. I will try for each of the jackets to kind of explain what is different between each of them. They are all a little bit different, a little bit unique. But I’ll try to get into all of it.

So, on the inside, it’s fully lined. We went with wine on this one. You will see on each of the interiors, there’s this little label which says produced by Bookster Tailoring exclusively for Hansen’s Clothing.” That’s how you’ll know if you actually have one of our exclusive jackets. It has that great label.

And on the other side, it kind of gives you a little information on the tweed. All the jacket fabric tweeds that we went with are Scotland-based from those mills. So it’s a Lovat tweed. It says “Made in Scotland” in there. And we really kind of paid attention to a lot of the details in the pockets. There’s room for your cell phone. Everything is truly a working pocket, so we don’t have anything that really isn’t working. And you can see on mine, the front pocket we actually did line with fabric. So, if you wanted to have a pocket square but you don’t have a pocket square and you wanted to use that same color of lining, this one will have that wine in there, as like this one has the blue – and we’ll get to the jacket I have on in a little bit.

But this is just kind of that dark blue, small check. It’s a Kirkton Tweed, like I said, out of Scotland. This is a classic cut. Out of the four jackets we have, three are a classic cut and the one I have on – when I get to it, I’ll talk about it – they call it athletic fit. It’s more pretty much that tailored fit for that. So these are pretty great. It does have a detachable collar on this one. So, depending on the style, you can close this off and wear it with your collar up. This does come off, so you don’t have to have that one there, otherwise it does fold pretty nicely underneath there.

So, again, this retails for $499. We have sizes 38 through 46 regular. That’s going to be the same for all of them. They all are $499, we have 38 through 46 regular. Like I said, they are a made-to-measure company, so more than likely we would still be able to grab some of that fabric and make you one of these jackets, if you’re interested.

So this is the Kinross Tweed Sport Jacket. It’s again by Bookster Tailoring made exclusively for Hansen’s Clothing. I’ll just kind of give you a look at the back here. And if you couldn’t really tell on the fabric, I’ll zoom up here for that. The only other thing I guess I probably didn’t mention is this has black horn buttons on it, so just that straight black button on these. Again, the Kinross is $499. We have sizes 38 through 46.

Up next, we have the Plain Weave Moss Tweed Sport Jacket. It has a three-two roll front button. So you really kind of only see two. There is that third one, if you want to have that third look. There’s holes on the side, but really when it lays flat, you don’t really see it. Again, this one is fully-lined. Just like the other one, it has our labels, it has all the different pockets and some of them are called cell phone pockets, the working pockets. We really just tried to make it as purposeful as possible. This one does have the contrast elbow patches in that dark tan. And then the back is a nice, simple, flat back that we have here.

Again, this one will retail for that $499, just like the other ones. It is a Lovat Tweed made in Scotland. So a great jacket. This is the classic fit. Each of these that I’m talking about, too, they are about a mid-weight jacket, I would say. We didn’t go with anything too heavy and we didn’t go with anything too light. So these would probably be a little heavier than what you would wear in the summer, but these are great fall, winter jackets.

All right, so up next is going to be the jacket that I actually have on. This is the Erskine Tweed Unstructured Athletic Jacket. It has that two-button front. This one only has a half-lining. It has the black horn buttons. It’s got two-slant packets. So it just has that two-button front with those black horn buttons. It’s a two-pocket. I’ll go back; one of those is actually a three-slant. We have the cuff and this one does have that contrast thread color on the very last button, which matches that half-lining on the inside. Again, it’s that Lovat Tweed made out of Scotland. And it has the Bookster and Hansen’s logos in it. Nice, simple back. It’s a great, great jacket.

So, this one is actually what they call an athletic fit. So, I would just for most people buying jackets in the U.S. it’s considered a tailored fit and so the other three that we’re looking at are all classic. This one is tailored, sizes 38 through 46 and they retail for $499. Again, this one – obviously I have the jacket on – the lining on the pocket is just the inside interior blue. So, in each of them, all the interiors you can pull them up if you want to have a pocket square or you don’t have one on you. It would match exactly the lining of your jacket.

Last but not least, we have the Lothian Tweed Half Norfolk Jacket. This does have that two-button front and these buttons are just a tad different from the other ones. They are grey horn buttons. It has the four-button working cuff here. This is fully lined on the inside. The only one that is half-lined is the one I have on. This is that classic fit. This does have the twin side vents in the back, so this does make it a little bit different from the others that we’ve been looking at. It’s a great grey – I’ll zoom in a little bit there – a great mid-grey check. I think that’s a lot of what it is. It’s really kind of considered that half Norfolk style. So, a little bit more traditional of a style on this one. It’s a great jacket. It retails for $499. We have sizes 38 through 46.
