Another Sunday, another Sunday Live! This week we’re looking at some of our spring 2021 casual footwear collection from Peter Millar. Whether you’re heading to the office or the beach, these pieces will not only keep you comfortable, they’ll also turn some heads along the way. Read on and find out why these shoes have been flying off the shelves.
Peter Millar was founded 20 years ago on a single cashmere sweater but has since grown by leaps and bounds to offer high-quality sportswear, resort apparel, tailored clothing, and various accessories. Their headquarters is located in Raleigh, North Carolina, while their distribution center is roughly 25 miles away in Durham. Their products can be purchased online and all around the world in specialty shops.
First up are the Hyperlight Apollo sneakers, inspired by the aesthetics of the space race. Staying true to form, they’re available in both Nebula Blue and Moon Grey. The sneakers are 75% polyester and 25% nylon, with a gum sole, molded heel cup, and rubber heel. They ship with a set of traditional laces, but once they’re laced up, you can slip in and out of them comfortably.
The Apollos retail for $175 and come in sizes 9 ½ - 12, but if you wear something slightly smaller or bigger, be sure to let us know. If possible, we’d be happy to special order a different size. As with most Peter Millar footwear, you might want to go one half size up from your normal shoe size. This recommendation comes from the folks at Peter Millar themselves.
Next up are the Hyperlight Glide sneakers. They come in Navy Blue and Gale Grey camo, but the camo design was only produced for this season. So if you’d like a pair of those, be sure to grab them as soon as you can. Once they’re gone, they’re gone! Be sure to check out our website to see what sizes are still available.
Like the Apollos, these shoes are made from polyester and nylon, but they offer a lightweight outsole and foam insole. The wool-polyester sock liner and heel pad help ensure that you remain comfortable all day long, no matter how much walking you’re doing. The sock liner also helps with moisture management. These shoes are also slip-ons, with a gore insert tongue and T-lock aglets that maintain a secure fit.
We’ve had the Hyperlight Glides for many seasons, so they’re stocked regularly, with the obvious exception of the limited edition Gale Grey pair. They retail for $155 and are available in 9 ½ - 12, but we can always inquire about smaller or bigger sizes. The Glides also come with an additional set of laces so you can switch them out as you’d like. Just be sure to take the laces and insoles out before washing the shoes. Cold water only!
For those who prefer something open-toed, we’re offering the Hyperlight Slide Flip Flop. This leather sandal, which was designed over the course of a year, offers an anatomically molded footbed and anti-slip, anti-scuff rubberized sole. This is the first time we’ve carried this sandal, and it comes in both Navy Blue and Cognac.
The colors are flipped on the bottom of the sandal, with the Navy Blue sporting a Cognac bottom, and the Cognac sporting a Light Blue bottom. They’re lightweight, versatile, and very stylish, and feature two Peter Millar logos: a small one under your heel and an oversized logo on the underside of the sandal.
The Hyperlight Slide Flip Flops retail for $98 and come in whole sizes only, but they’re an easy fit so that shouldn’t present a problem. These are a great option for those who want to look great while letting their feet breathe.
Finally, we have the Seaside Breeze Canvas Slip-On sneakers. These shoes come in Stone, which is something of an off-white. Made out of a machine-washable canvas, these sneakers offer excellent ventilation to keep moisture from being an issue. The gum sole, molded heel cup, and rubber heel provide a solid, secure fit while remaining comfortable all day long.
Like the other shoes, we carry sizes 9 ½ - 12, but if you wear something else, be sure to let us know. We’re always looking to get different sizes in stock, but if you ask us for a specific size, we’re happy to order it directly. Being a Peter Millar shoe, you’ll want to order a half size up to ensure a snug fit. We’re certainly more than happy to help you find the size that’s perfect for your feet.
